Art by Sanni Pyhänniska
This show is be part of the Equinox, the Bristol Gallery Weekend.
Basking in the rosy light of the moon, wishing on dandelions, wearing a green of youth, dancing, dancing, and dancing – ‘Salad Days’ is emerging artist Sanni Pyhänniska’s first solo exhibition showcasing a collection of original screen prints bursting in vibrant colour, rich texture, and motive pattern. This collection of work builds a net of stories about the flickering joys of being female, and being young.
Sanni Pyhänniska is a Bristol-based artist and printmaker originally from Finland. After graduating from Falmouth University in 2020, having completed her bachelor’s degree in Illustration, she fully immersed herself in the world of screen print. Building her own exposure unit and setting up a home studio in lockdown determined her dedication for the craft. Since returning from Mexico in summer 2022, having completed an artist residency with Arquetopia Foundation, she has found creative community as a member at Spike Print Studio, where she creates her work to this day.
